The Bowral Autumn Music Festival actively encourages and supports the work of Australian composers.

It has been a privilege to have had visiting composers such as Elena Kats-Chernin, Lyle Chan, Gordon Kerry, Andrew Ford, John Peterson, Sally Whitwell, Nicholas Vines, Sally Greenaway, Ann-Carr Boyd and May Howlett attend the Festival and share their music with our audiences. Past festivals have also featured music by Matthew Hindson, Iain Grandage, Nick Wales, Peggy Glanville Hicks, Robert Davidson, Nigel Westlake, and Maria Grenfell.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors, the Bowral Autumn Music Festival has been thrilled to be able to commission and host the World Premiere performances of new works, thus providing wonderful opportunities for talented emerging Australian composers such as Sarah-Elise Thompson, Alice Chance, Ella Macens and Sally Greenaway.
